what can an artist do if they dropout from an art college?

Posted by MiniWarrior - 1 month ago

I really feel like dropping out, but I feel as if I don't know what I can do or how I will tell people what I'm going to do. I don't know where I would go because I want a studio to work in. I simply want to draw whenever I want, going to art school to draw while paying so much money makes no sense. Does anybody know what I can do.

Did you try discussing it with your family and friends?

already did

@MiniWarrior What did they say?

they say its my choice

Make your choice first which art you gonna do? Is it traditional art or digital art?
If it's traditional art, you must prepare a lot of things like the sketchbook and the coloring stuff which can sometime expensive
If it's digital art, you must prepare an iPad or any tablets that has a huge screen and a stylus pen/Pentab

digital

out of the art college...

Both options have their advantages and disadvantages and your choice depends on your learning style.If you prefer a more casual and relaxed style,you can learn on your own but you need to know what to learn and where to find the information.You have to plan everything on your own mostly unless you get help from online art communities.While there are free online tutorials and courses,you may have to pay for materials and programs.

Staying in art school means you have a schedule and assignments which means everything is more organised but it can also get stressful.Depending on your school’s reputation,you can turn to your teachers who are art experts.Of course,there’s the costs but if you think about it,almost everything is provided to you by the school.

At the end of the day,it’s your choice and which ever choice you pick,I wish you good luck.

P.S-I’m an art school dropout,so if you have any more questions,please feel free to ask!

what did you do after you dropped out

@MiniWarrior Well, you must prepare a lot of money for digital stuff

I dropped off from drawing for what i do best

TALKING

what did you do after you dropped out

@MiniWarrior VOICING

@MiniWarrior Well,I did almost everything according to what I wrote.I went to find as much information as I could get from the libraries and online.I had to buy art materials.Everything had to be researched about before I made a move.And when I saw how things were running smoothly,it seemed like an almost perfect plan except I made one big mistake.I’ll let you guess.
